English "B1 di Ateneo" courses (Receptive skills)_from 2023

The "B1 di Ateneo" English course for receptive skills is aimed at preparing students for the English B1 Receptive exam (3 Credits) and is reserved for students studying one of the Degree Courses involved in the B1 di Ateneo project.

FROM 2024 ONWARDS, THE "B1 DI ATENEO" ENGLISH COURSE FOR RECEPTIVE SKILLS  WILL BE OFFERED ONLINE

The course is asynchronous and takes place entirely online. All activities are available 24/7, but students must observe the time schedules as outlined in the charts below. If activities are not completed within the allotted times, the course will stop and the student will need to wait for the next edition of the course.

IMPORTANT:

After failing the 3-credit English curricular final exam  twice , attending the course becomes mandatory. Students will be able to register for the third round only after successfully completing the course.
After the course, eligible students will need to enrol into the "completamento corso inglese B1 online" appello on Esse3, so that the Language Centre can enter the course results - which will grant students the possibility to register for the curricular exam again.
Once the course has been completed, it will not become mandatory anymore, regardless of the number of subsequent failed attempts.

Enrolments

In order to attend the course, it is mandatory to register (see the details in the charts below).

Attendance and completion of the course

Each activity in the course will be tracked. This means that you can access an activity only when the previous one has been either completed or passed with the minimum evaluation possible at least (60%). You can attempt each quiz/progress test a maximum of 3 times. Once you have failed a quiz/progress test for 3 times, the course will stop and you won't be able to go ahead - instead, you will need to wait for the next edition of the course and start again. Therefore, we strongly advise you to pay close attention when carrying out all activities and to revise and/or seek help before you run out of your allowed attempts.

Moreover, a time limit is set for each activity on the course, after which students will not be able to access anymore. Extensions and/or derogations will be allowed for no reasons, including work.
